FAQs

Is Jobs to be Done Right for Me?

JTBD is a broad field that can be applied to many disciplines, including design and development, sales and marketing, and strategy and innovation. Regardless of your role in the organization, there probably something in JTBD for you. 

The good news is you can start small and try out individual exercises without risk. This workshop is designed to give you practical techniques to begin right away. 

How does the workshop work?

Using remote collaboration tools to create an online workspace, this workshop will use facilitated discussion, digital templates, and collaborative activities to discuss, develop and capture the Jobs to be Done framework in-real-time as it's being applied by real people. 

A limited group of six participants will do the hands-on exercises and interact with each other and the instructor. Those viewing will be able to observe and try out the activities on their own. 

What will the view-only experience be like?

Viewers will be able to watch the action of the workshop and type in questions to the moderators. They can also try out the exercises on their own. Read more about the view-only experience >

What will the participant experience be like?

Participants will be asked to join the session 30 minutes before the workshop starts to troubleshoot tech issues but also to check in an get warmed up on the topic. They will be asked to actively contribute to the exercises and discussions.

He has practiced JTBD for over a decade and a half and lectured on the topic around world. Jim is the author of three full-length books on design and customer experience, the latest focused on JTBD.
